Hello! Emily, from Blue Corduroy here, back again with another Granny Round crochet project for you! This time with our amazing mother’s in mind. When I think of mom’s, I think of pretty, soft, yummy smelling, and one of a kind. I think of love and selflessness, sacrifices and joy. Of course no gift can really match up to all a mother is and does, but it sure is fun to spoil them!
Mother’s Day diy :: a Scented Sachet
For this project you’ll need…
:: two granny rounds. here is a good tutorial.
:: crochet hook, and a bit of yarn
:: a bowl of rice and some scrap fabric
:: essential oil in your mother’s favorite scent
Once you’ve made your two granny rounds you’ll want to make a scented rice insert. I traced around my granny rounds to make two fabric circles the same size. Sew them together, leaving a whole big enough to pour your scented rice into. I mixed a few drops of essential oil into a bowl of rice and mixed it well. Then added it to my fabric insert and sewed up the opening.
Crochet your granny rounds together with your bit of yarn and a slip stitch and leave an opening. Slip your rice insert in, and close up the rest of your granny round. Tuck in your loose yarns and done!
